Assemblyman Oscarson has made it a top priority to protect the Second Amendment and the God given right of all lawful gun owners to exercise their inalienable right to self defense. In his third term as your District 36 Assemblyman, James Oscarson will continue the fight against those who would attempt to wrongfully disarm law abiding Nevadans.

PAHRUMP, NEV. – As James Oscarson gets into the thick of his re-election campaign for state Assembly District 36, the Republican incumbent wants to focus on the issues of the area, not his opponent’s campaign.

Oscarson explained that his campaign has not changed despite a close primary election win in June. He will focus on those who call District 36 home, which includes Nye and Lincoln counties, and portions of Clark County.

“My campaign strategy was and is to be out in the community and to listen to the concerns and issues that are facing the voters,” Oscarson said. “At the end of the day, it is the voters’ needs and concerns I am representing. That is what I am continuing to do. That is what is most important.”

With various issues plaguing the district, Oscarson said that water is at the top of the list.

Since James was first elected to represent District 36 in 2012, he has focused on what mattered most: creating jobs, improving education, protecting seniors and veterans, and giving rural Nevada the strong and respected voice it deserves.

In the two legislative sessions in which he has served, he has stayed true to his core goals, and delivered significant results.

Despite all that he has helped accomplish, however, there is still much more to do, which is why he is running for reelection.
“I am extremely proud of the historic reforms we were able to pass in the last Legislative Session. We accomplished more than I ever thought possible, but there is still much to do. “

“Among other things, our seniors and veterans need more help, rural Nevada needs more attention, and our Second Amendment Rights need more protection. With my background, my experience, and my leadership as chair of the Health and Human Services Committee, I will continue to be a strong advocate for District 36.”

“I welcome the upcoming campaign, and the opportunity it gives me to earn the trust and votes of my friends, neighbors, and constituents,” said Oscarson.
